Sacred Writings

These poems are from my sacred writing time and are all about child abuse. One day my friend and I watched a video on you tube about Kelsey Briggs. Kelsey died at the age of three, a few days before her father came home from war, by a hard blow to the gut from her step-father. Before this, Kelsey was abused by both her mother and step-father. At one point she even had both of her legs broken. She was in and out of child care services. It’s sad to think that there are kids out there today …
