My nephew was whining and it wasn’t becoming of the three-year-old genius he so obviously is. “I want to go to the ho-tel,” he kept saying, leaning against my sister’s car, totally spent after a long day of turkey and pumpkin pie. “Can we go back to the ho-teelll?” His accent was making me think early 80s rap music so I did what my sister seems to always do: distracted him. “Nephew,” I said, kneeling down. “Let’s sing a song!
