Apart from my absence on this blog, I have also been missing my daily mom blog rounds after a week in the hospital. My son has yet to fully recover but he is on his way.

Now that we are back home, I can go online again… to blog and read blogs.

And today, I have been reading up. Here are a few interesting phrases which I thought you might like to read:

“It seems wrong to go to her hospital room today and start telling her how much I love her and how much I'll miss her - it would just make her uncomfortable and embarrassed. Somehow, I am going to have to keep it together, and silently convey to her all that she means to me. She and I will both know that when I leave that room it will be the last time we see each other. Even though it will go unsaid, I'll be wishing her godspeed as she nears the end of this journey. And, I'll promise never, ever to forget her.” - as Courtney says goodbye to her aunt.

“Seriously. I've spent one evening in San Jose (and BlogHer hasn't even officially started yet) near a handful of obnoxious “mommy bloggers” and I already want to rip their fucking ovaries out. I don't want to hear about how many times a day your retarded kid poops or stabs itself in the eye with its own foot. I don't want to hear about how it was extracted from your smelly, overstretched vagina. I don't want to hear about how you're “more famous than Dooce” when no one at your fucking table has ever even heard of your stupid blog. And I certainly don't want to see pictures of your bigheaded, cross-eyed, nappy-haired spawn shoveling sand into its face at the beach last summer. Is this really all you have to say for yourself? Did you trade in your personality, brain and…well…life when those cells started multiplying in your womb? Join the fucking PTA, the garden club, the SAHM club or whatever other useless fucking club you need to in order to validate yourself, but stop pretending the rest of us give a fucking shit.” - Sherri rants about how she hates mommy bloggers. I am a mommy blogger but this entry made me laugh. Somehow, I can understand where she is coming from.

“I wish I wasn't so lazy. I'd like to be one of those women who has an immaculate house and has cookies baking in the oven and does crafts with her children. I'm just… not.” - slackermama at her finest

“Beck still has her 13 year old hormonal girl with ADHD attitude problem. We have had such a good few weeks and then bam… back into the psycho-girl get out of control and scream, yell and throw things mode. She can be such a great kid, it just kills me to see her start to get so out of control, when I know things are going to get ugly, its like watching a car crash in slow motion.” - Stacie whines

What about YOU? What have you been blogging about?
