Litmus Test

We gathered in our newest little bathroom. I’d bought a three-pack pregnancy test back when i didn’t know if I was pregnant or just fat. I was just fat. It was four days before my period. I was impatient with the waiting. I hadn’t yet decided if i wanted to have a baby. If I was ready for one. I’d spent the whole weekend crying because of the stress of the rest of my life.
