Halloween’s fun/scary balance can be tricky for toddlers and preschoolers to manage as they head out for their first night of trick-or-treating. I’m not usually one for holiday-themed merch, but in this case, some well-chosen picture books can put a friendly spin on the scary images of witches, vampires and ghosts.
We’ve enjoyed The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything and Big Pumpkin. Have you got a favorite Halloween book?
