  4. the sad reality is tmot that inspite of women getting with “decent guys” as many call themselves is that many women can still opt for single mother hood as black women are more atttracted to independence (even though there is no such thing for the most part as far as black women are concerned) this is why telling them to choose a certain type of brotha wont change much even if they did that. How do i know this? well how many of these women would you advice any decent brotha to get with?

  5. Thank you for talking about this brother!! We black women need to be more selective. There are still good men out there, few & far between, but out there. The desperation to be with someone has cause many sisters to compromise , this needs to stop.

  8. Read what you wrote above my comment.. that is what I replied to. You make having babies the reason that men don’t marry women. That isn’t it. It is because women allow men to HAVE THEM without the commitment and covenant of marriage. Babies don’t have anything to do with it. You open your legs, he gets what he wants and sees no reason to marry you. And that’s 9 months BEFORE any baby comes.

I have seen “church folk’ deny ppl baby showers because they aren’t married.. what does that have to do with a baby being welcomed by the community and the parents being GIVEN what they need? I have seen expecting couples DENIED weddings in the “church” building but forced to marry in the pastors office. WHAT GARBAGE. They preach Paul & HE said marriage is HONORABLE IN ALL. pregnant or not. Its self righteous 2 me.

    I have punished no one. I simply don’t reward it. There is a thing as neutrality, non-participation, non-support and the list goes on and on with things you can do other than Punish.

    Please specify where I said PUNISH anyone?

    Is calling out irresponsible behavior Punishment?

    If a girl end up on public assistance off my tax payer funds, we should not speak against it cause it ONLY our money and not our business?

  14. The culture is propagated by WHITE SUPREMACIST .. if you look behind the black faces, that is who you will see. It began on slave plantations w/ the degrading , abuse, rape & passing around of black women AND GIRLS… It comes from keeping everything white sacred and out of reach. The glorification of criminality began with WHITE PEOPLE.. How many songs have you heard, movies have u watched about WHITE CRIMINALS & good ole bank robbers from the ww west. Whites luv their criminals & hate ours

  15. If they stopped HAVING SEX outside of wedlock, they’d be married… THAT IS what brings the babies on and into an UNMARRIED HOME>. UNMARRIED SEX..but many of us want to keep doing that, so we speak about babies born outside of wedlock, instead of SEX outside of marriage.. cuz we don’t want to give that up!

  16. I have mixed feelings about that whole punishing women 4 having babies unmarried. It really isn’t anyone else’s business or place to PUNISH someone for bringing LIFE into the world when more of our ppl die in ABORTION clinics EVERY week than in ALL OF THE VIETNAM war. Why should a child enter the world into MOURNING? Having the baby is not the BEHAVIOR the behavior is HAVING SEX OUTSIDE OF MARRIAGE-especially as CHILDREN. An 18yo IS a young adult. Y should a baby not be gifted w what they need?

  17. you are so right on the celebration of a 18yr old having a baby. I’ve seen several women give their young unwedded daughters a baby shower and i’ve been invited but never attended. Its like mothers are condoning the behavoir of their babies having babies, out of wedlock. That really needs to stop!!!!. I 2 had my child at a young age but, i was giving the tools and the responsibilty of raising that child , even tho my mother loved and accepted her grand..SHE shedded many tears,not tears of joy

  18. So true. If women stopped having children out of wedlock…you’d see more of us married. But why would a man marry when he can have a ‘wife’ without the ceremony?

  19. My best friend of 42 years married such a woman. He is a TRUE gentle giant who was slow to anger and long suffering. I warned him not to sleep with unprotected 1980. he would not listen and guess what? She dropped a baby and landed a husband. The abuse lasted 12 years before he had enough and left after 2 kids.

    He is now remarried to a wonderful women of God and he she treats Him right because she knows it is how a woman is supposed to treat a good man.

    It possible, but they never last.

These are the issues that need to be discussed, not black women dating good men, that solution is a no-brainer; even the most retarded individual would come to the same conclusion, but is it feasible. Is it feasible for a woman with a horrible demeanour, foul mouth; selfish attitude to snag themselves a hardworking intellectual?

  22. From my perspective, I believe the problem is more cultural than anything else; appealing to individuals to overwrite their programming will never work on a macro level. The solution is to attack the culture, not its victims, the culture that says it’s okay to do and/or behave in such manner(s).

  23. Your solution is built on the premise that these women can actually snag themselves a ‘worthy’ man. Moreover, you also make distinctions between the men and women; the reality is that there is none. Both parties have the same mentality, so appealing to one part of the equation to make a detour is unworkable and a tad simplistic, I feel.
