Cloth Diapers Vs Disposable Diapers: Parents biggest dilemma!
Posted on May 17th, 2009 in Articles, Parenting, Toddler
Cloth Diapers Vs Disposable Diapers is a major dilemma among parents or couple in deciding which diapers are best for their newborn child. One the one side we have old traditional cloth diapers while there are familiar ones i.e. plastic disposables on the other side. It is very difficult to come to conclusion about which is best for you and your baby. The best way to find the solution would be to weigh Cloth Diapers Vs Disposable Diapers on various aspects.
Disposable diapers are more preferred by parents as they are really useful while traveling. The central part of diaper usually has absorbent gelling material which is used to contain wetness. It doesn’t leak and they are available anywhere anytime and you can stop buying if you feel your baby doesn’t need diapers. On the negative side, in order to enhance the absorbent capacity of diapers, harmful chemicals are used for preparing disposables which may prove to be harmful for a child. They are expensive too.
Traditional cloth diapers have several benefits over the disposables as they are not expensive and are good for the sensitive skin of your child. They can be cleaned in-house. The biggest problem with them is that they leak quickly and is difficult to carry soiled diapers when you are traveling.
No doubt who will come of this clash of Cloth Diapers Vs Disposable Diapers but there will always be a biggest risk of diaper rash associated with them. You can avoid this by changing the diapers frequently and you may use lanolin cream for better care.

Cloth diapers do not have to be a leaky mess!
If you’re using department store diapers and plastic pants, I can understand that you have leaks. Modern cloth diapers, however, are easy to use, easy to clean, and actually leak less than disposables when used properly. I’ve been using cloth diapers on my kids for 5 years now. Using cloth has saved me a ton of money. Plus, cloth is so much more comfortable on baby’s tender skin. I highly recommend it!
